Abundance: Uncommon during late fall, winter, and early spring; recorded in all Regional counties (Map of UCR Distribution); data from the Regional bird-monitoring efforts are insufficient to reliably determine a trend in the Regional wintering population (see also Regional Bird-Monitoring Plan).
Status: Winter Resident; photograph (see above).
Regional High Count and CBC/CBB High Count: 33 (30 December 2000; Pulaski County, Kentucky [Somerset CBC]; m. ob.).
