Abundance: Uncommon; recorded in 13 Regional counties, 6 in Kentucky and 7 in Tennessee (Map of UCR Distribution); data from the Regional bird-monitoring efforts are too few to determine a trend in the population migrating through the Region (see also Regional Bird-Monitoring Plan).

Status: Transient during spring and fall; sight records.

Regional High Count: 42 (29 July 2006; Pulaski County, Kentucky; Roseanna M. Denton); SBC/SBB High Count: 8 (8 May 2010; Putnam County, Tennessee [SBC]; m. ob.); FBC/FBB High Count: 3 (23 September 2006; White County, Tennessee [FBC]; m. ob.).
