Abundance: Uncommon during late fall, winter, and early spring; recorded in 19 Regional counties, 6 in Kentucky and 13 in Tennessee (Map of UCR Distribution); data from the Regional bird-monitoring efforts are insufficient to reliably determine a trend in the Regional wintering population (see also Regional Bird-Monitoring Plan).
Status: Winter Resident.
