Abundance: Occasional; 2 records in 2 Tennessee counties (Map of UCR Distribution); data from the Regional bird-monitoring efforts are too few to determine a trend in the population visiting the Region (see also Regional Bird-Monitoring Plan).
Status: Visitor during winter (1 record) and spring (1 record); photograph (see link below).

22 April–1 May 2006 (1—adult) Flattop Mountain, Bledsoe County, Tennessee (Robin Sawvell, Diane Steffy photo [27 April 2006; see above]; Knight 2006c).
3 January 2015 (1—adult) Warren County, Tennessee (Susan N. McWhirter, N. P. "Mac" McWhirter), a CBC record.
Habitat: The first Harris's Sparrow observed in the Region appeared at a home feeding station; the second was noted in a weedy field during a CBC.
YardWatch Results 2003 and 2004: no registrations.
