Comments:

cw = observed some time during count week (11–13 & 1517 December) only.

* = new Cookeville CBC high count (3 species).

** = new Cookeville CBC high count and Putnam County high count (1 speciesPutnam County high count in parentheses if different from CBC high count; the Putnam County high count may be lower than the CBC high count because part of the CBC circle is in White County; any birds seen in that county may be counted as part of the Cookeville CBC high count but not as part of the Putnam County all-time high count).

The Common Goldeneye was observed on the lake at Cane Creek Park during count week (Susan N. McWhirter, N. P. "Mac" McWhirter).

The Northern Harriers were all observed in fields along Spring Creek Rd. (DAD, NSL).

The Barn Owl was found at the "traditional" site in the county (DLC).

The Loggerhead Shrike was once again found on Foster Circle (GKE, LH), one of the few remaining sites where this decreasing species can still be found in Putnam County.

The Red-breasted Nuthatch was observed on Allen Hollow Rd. (JCF).

The Brown-headed Nuthatches were found at the Cookeville Golf Course (JCF, RCF), where permission to bird on the course was obtained from the course manager.

The Palm Warblers were noted in a single small flock on a spur road off of Salem Rd. (SJS, SEP, DRB, MSF) in the southeast corner of the intersection of Rt. 111 and I-40.

The Pine Warblers were found in pine groves at the bottom of the escarpment on Green Mountain Rd. (DAD, NSL).

The Rusty Blackbirds were counted at Shipley Farm (EKL).
