Abundance:Occasional during spring; recorded in 1 Tennessee county (Map of UCR Distribution).
Status: Visitor during spring (1 record); photograph (see above).
Regional High Count: 1 (see below).

25 March 2015 (1) Stone Farm, Celina, Clay County, Tennessee (Terry M. Campbell photo/field notes), an eBird record.
Habitat: Mainly coastal, using river systems to colonize inland sites. Has been reported fairly close to the eastern border of the UCR and somewhat to the west of the western Border within Tennessee.
YardWatch Results 2003 and 2004: no registrations.
Remarks: The first Regional record took place at a site located adjacent to the Cumberland River. The observer (TMC) heard the classic, two-part, somewhat nasal call (unh-uh), the second part of the call being lower-pitched than the first part.
