Results of Bird Counts in Putnam County, Tennessee, and Wayne County, Kentucky, Combining Data Collected According to Great Backyard Bird Count Methodology—February 14, 2004

Seventy-four species were tallied on 15 lists by five observers in four parties during about 13 hours of Great Backyard Bird Counting (GBBC) on Valentine's Day (February 14, 2004) in the vicinity of Cookeville, Putnam County, Tennessee; at least six additional species were noted on other days of the GBBC in that county. Sixty-one species were counted on eight lists by four observers in one party during 4.75 hours of GBBCing on the same date in Wayne County, Kentucky. All results are presented below.
