    Wayne County covers an area of 1254 km2 (484 mi2). A map of the county—with the some sites noted below coded on it—is available via the following link (click to lower right corner of map to enlarge it):

 

Camp Earl Wallace (CEW) is located northwest of Monticello; this facility is operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and should be entered only after obtaining permission from the local wildlife officer at the camp.  The view of Lake Cumberland from the end of the road often is a good one that often includes waterbirds of various sorts.
