* The results of the bird-counting effort in Overton County, Tennessee, during May 1951 were collected somewhat anecdotally by members of the Tennessee Ornithological Society (TOS) during  their spring meeting at Standing Stone State Park (SSSP) and are presented in Anonymous (1951); x = species present but specific number not noted.  The results of the 1954 bird-counting effort in Overton County also derive from data collected somewhat anecdotally by TOS members who attended the May 1954 state meeting at SSSP and are presented in Anonymous (1954); x = species present but specific number not noted. The results of the bird-counting effort in Overton County during late April 2011 derive from efforts of seven birders in four parties who conducted a Spring BirdBlitz (SBB) in the county in preparation for the 2011 UCR Foray conducted in that county during late May 2011.
