Abundance: Rare; recorded in 3 Tennessee counties, each with a single record of a single individual (Map of UCR Distribution); data from the Regional bird-monitoring efforts are insufficient to generate a reliable trend in the small population visiting the Region (see also Regional Bird-Monitoring Plan).

Status: Visitor during spring (3 records); photographs (see above; see also link below).

5 May 2012 (1) Gum Springs Rd., White County, Tennessee (Douglas A. Downs photo), a Spring Bird Count record.

25 April 2013 (1) Hurricane Ridge Rd., DeKalb County, Tennessee (Tommy and Virginia Curtis photo).

Habitat: The first two sightings in the Region were made in farming habitat; the third in a suburban yard.

YardWatch Results 2003 and 2004: No registrations.

Remarks: White-winged Dove became the 313th species to be documented within the boundaries of the Upper Cumberland Region.
