The 53rd Cookeville Christmas Bird Count (CBC) was conducted 14 December 2014, a day that witnessed mild temperatures and cloudy skies.The total of species recorded86—was slightly above average for the past few years.  No species new to the Cookeville CBC was observed during this count.
