Comments:

New species to county list (as maintained by Stephen Stedman): Bufflehead, Greater Yellowlegs, Northern Waterthrush, Henslow's Sparrow, and Bobolink.

Bufflehead male was in pond in southern part of the Sequatchie Valley along Old Hwy 28.

Barn Owl heard giving scream call at 4:10 AM along Upper East Valley Rd. about 1.5 miles south of Lowes Gap Rd. It flew in in response to recording and was seen  in flight by flashlight.

Scissor-tailed Flycatchers (10 adults) in the Ninemile area including 6 adults perched within 4 feet of each other on a wire at Walter Miller Curve (Old Hwy 28). Probable nest at original Ninemile Crossroad site. Two others with nest were at Akins Rd./Swafford Pond along Upper East Valley Road.

Henslow's Sparrow heard well at Debord Cemetery (end of Debord Cem. Rd. off Griffith Rd. on the main plateau).

Dickcissel seen and heard singing along Wesley Chapel Rd. 1.0 mile south of Rt. 30 and 1.0 mile north of Wesley Chapel. Two others were reported the same day at 11733 Lower East Valley Rd. by Steve and Gail Clendenen (not participants).
